“And we can’t be afraid to call out Rush Limbaugh,” I say as an aside in the piece. “If we can get three Republicans on three different networks saying, ‘What Rush Limbaugh said is crazy and stupid and dangerous,’ maybe that’ll give other Republicans cover” to feel comfortable disagreeing with him as well from time to time.

I first heard the name Manti Te'o on Sirius satellite radio. I discovered that he was a football player who played for Notre Dame. But he was famous because he had a fake girlfriend.

Whether you are pro-gun, anti-gun, or something in between, if you are interested in why good people support the ownership of firearms, I don't think there's a better article out there than this one.

It's been a week since the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy, and I've had time to think about it. I have debated with the gun control personal protection prevention advocates. There has been a discussion of mental illness, and how we can identify these sociopaths and get them the help they need. There have even been calls (by myself included) for "hardening" our schools. But all of these suggestions miss the mark (excuse the pun). The real reason is...
